ACCESSIBILITY

The Food Department, Amsterdam’s downtown food hall, is located in the centre of the city, on the second floor of The Magna Plaza building. We’re accessible by foot, bike, car and public transportation.

From Central Station it’s a 10 minute walk to The Food Department.

Public transportation: The food Department is accessible by public transportation: trams 2, 12, 13 and 17 all stop right in front of Magna plaza, tram stop: de Dam.

Bikes and scooters can be stalled at the back of Magna plaza on the Spuistraat right across from the library. There is a guarded bike storage on Beursplein (2 min walk) the first 24 hours are for free.

By car: it is getting more and more difficult to reach downtown Amsterdam by car. There are several Park & Ride on the outskirts of Amsterdam. If you do decide to come to downtown by car, Q-Park de Bijenkorf is the nearest parking lot. From there it’s a 2 minute walk to The Food Department just behind the Dam square palace.
